Helgi Hrafn Jónsson

Geboren 1979 in Reykjavik. Ausbildung am Reykjavik College of Music. Ab 1999 Studium an der Universität der Künste in Graz. 1999 Engagement als Posaunist im Iceland Symphony Orchestraat. Künstlerische Zusammenarbeit u. a. mit Sigur Rós, Damien Rice, Tina Dico und Glen Hansard. Ab 2001 Mitglied von Beefólk und ab 2002 der Jazz Big Band Graz. Tätigkeit als Sänger und Posaunist für das Label Bedroom Community, u. a. Zusammenarbeit mit Valgeir Sigurðsson und Nico Muhly (»Whale Watching Tour«, 2010). Zahlreiche Soloprojekte als Sänger und Songwriter. Veröffentlichung der Alben »Gloandi« (2005), »For The Rest Of My Childhood« (2009), »Big Spring« (2011) und »Blindfolded« (2010).
