Anna Fleischle

Born in Munich. Studied Theater-Design at the Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design in London and works as a stage and costume designer. She made the design for e. g. »Loves Sacrifice« by John Ford (Direction: Matthew Dunster, 2015) at the Royal Shakespeare Company, »Liberian Girl« by Diana Nneka Atuona (Direction: Matthew Dunster, 2015) at the Royal Court Theatre, »John« (Direction: Lloyd Newson, 2014/15) by DV8 Physical Theatre at the National Theatre, »Before the Party« by Rodney Ackland (Direction: Matthew Dunster, 2013) at the Almeida Theatre, »Love the Sinner« by Drew Pautz (Direction: Matthew Dunster, 2011) at the National Theatre, »As you like it« by William Shakespeare (Direction: Tim Supple, 2011) at the Curve Theatre, »Love and Money« by Dennis Kelly (Direction: Matthew Dunster, 2006) at the Royal Exchange & Young Vic, »King Priam« by Michael Tippett (Direction: James Conway, 2014) and »Paul Bunyan« by Benjamin Britten (Direction: Liam Steel, 2014) at the English Touring Opera, »Candide« by Leonard Bernstein (Direction: Sam Brown, 2013) at the Opera National de Lorraine and »Can we talk about this« (Direction: Lloyd Newson, 2015) by DV8 Physical Theatre at the National Theatre and on international tour.

She received the Evening Standard Award for ›Best Design‹ for »Hangmen« by Martin McDonagh (Direction: Matthew Dunster, 2015) at the Royal Court Theatre.

The operas »King Priam« and »Paul Bunyan« received the Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in Opera in 2014.
