Angelika Schmidt

Born in Cologne in 1989. Bachelor's degree in French and Italian Language, Literature and Media Studies in Freiburg, Strasbourg and Bologna. Trinational Master's degree in cultural science oriented Media Research/European Film and Media Studies in Lyon, Weimar and Utrecht. From 2017 to 2020 secretary of the dramaturgy department at the Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz. Since 2020 working as a freelance dramaturg for the newly founded theatre collective Glossy Pain, whose first production »BANG!« premiered at the TD Berlin in June 2021, followed by the premiere of Anne Lepper's »SEYMOUR« in June 2022. She also works for the pilot project FAIRSTAGE, an initiative of Diversity Arts Culture, ensemble-netzwerk and LAFT Berlin, funded by the Senate Department for Culture and Europe, with the aim of creating non-discriminatory and good working conditions for the permanent and freelance staff at publicly funded theatres in Berlin.
