Holly Waddington

Studied Fine Arts at the Ruskin School of Drawing, Oxford University and Scenography at Trinity Laban in London. She was one of the finalists of the Linbury Prize for theatre design in 2007. She has designed set and costumes for the Gate Theatre (»Hedda«, Direction: Carrie Cracknell, »Breathing Irregular«, Direction: Carrie Cracknell, »Electra«, Direction: Carrie Cracknell), the Young Vic (»Electra«, Direction: Carrie Cracknell), the Almeida (with Belarus Free Theatre), the Scottish Dance Theatre, Sadler´s Wells (»Varmints«, Direction: Wilkie Branson & Sally Cookson) and the Handspring Puppet Company (»Crow«, Direction: Mervyn Millar). As costume designer, she has designed for the Royal Ballet (for Hofesh Shechter), the Almeida (»Little Revolution», Direction: Joe Hill-Gibbons, »Medea«, Direction: Rupert Goold), the Royal Court (»Birdland«, Direction: Carrie Cracknell) and for Lost Dog/Ben Duke (»It Needs Horses«, »Home for Broken Turns«, »Rabbits«).

She designed the costumes for the films »Ginger & Rosa« (Direction: Sally Potter, 2012), »Departure« (Direction: Andrew Steggall, 2015) and »Lady Macbeth« (Direction: William Oldroyd, 2016). As assistant costume designer, credits include »Happy-Go-Lucky« (Direction: Mike, Leigh, 2008), »Another Year« (Direction: Mike Leigh, 2010), »War Horse« (Direction: Steven Spielberg, 2011), »Lincoln« (Direction: Steven Spielberg, 2012) and »The Man from U.N.C.L.E.« (Direction: Guy Ritchie, 2015).
