After this he shoots himself. Cate returns with a strange baby, which dies a short time later. Cate goes out again to find something to eat, but meanwhile hunger has driven Ian to extremes...
Sarah Kane’s first play “Blasted” made her well-known in 1995. It was followed by “Phaedra’s Love” (1996), “Cleansed” and “Crave” (1998). In February 1999 she committed suicide. Her final play, “4.48 Psychosis” was premiered at the Royal Court Theatre in June 2000.
This production of “Blasted” means that the Schaubühne is now showing the entire works of Sarah Kane in its repertoire.
