The season 2023/24

The programme with a preview of all upcoming productions in the second half of the 2023/24 season is now available in the house and can be browsed here.

In February, Falk Richter presents the world premiere of his new play »Bad Kingdom«. It is Richter’s second production this seaseon after »The Silence.« Following »Eurotrash«, Jan Bosse is returning to the Schaubühne in March to direct a comedy by Eugène Labiche, the nightmare farce »The Rue de Lourcine Affair«.

Recent seasons have seen playwright Maja Zade’s plays in productions by Thomas Ostermeier and Marius von Mayenburg. In June, she will be making her directorial debut with the premiere of her monologue »spinne« (»spider«)

In ten days in spring, the Schaubühne is once again dedicating itself entirely to international auteur theatre. This edition of the Festival International
New Drama (FIND) has the playwright and director Alexander Zeldin as its Artist in Focus with three productions and will also be presenting new plays from countries including Portugal, Brazil, Italy, Siberia, France, the United Kingdom and Canada.

In the Studio, the second half of the season is opening with the premiere of »Postkarten aus dem Osten« (»Postcards from the East«) by Pavlo Arie and Martín Valdés­-Stauber directed by Stas Zhyrkov. In April, the British director Rikki Henry will
be working at the Schaubühne for the first time, presenting the German­language premiere of »Ulster American« by the Northern Irish playwright David Ireland. 
In the final premiere of the season, Sarah Kohm is bringing Jovana Reisinger’s latest novel to the stage: »Enjoy Schatz«. 

And »BUCCI« a new series by Lynn Takeo Musiol and her guests, addresses the intersection of queerness and cultural work in times of unstoppable climate change.
