Summer Break

The Schaubühne will be closed for the summer recess from July 14 to August 27 inclusive. On August 28, we will kick off the new season with Thomas Ostermeier's stage adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's »The Wild Duck«.

Tickets for September can be purchased at any time during the recess via our webshop and the Schaubühne app. The box office will be open again starting August 24 during standard opening hours: Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. until the start of the performance; Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays from 3 p.m. until the start of the performance; and on non-performance days from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Advance ticket sales for October will begin on September 1 at 11 a.m.
We will officially open the new season on Thursday, September 10, starting at 6 p.m. with the presentation of the new season campaign by TOILETPAPER, alongside »The Miser« directed by Thomas Ostermeier and »Call me Paris« by Yana Thönnes.

Season Campaign 2026/27 by TOILETPAPER

This season’s publicity campaign has been created by TOILETPAPER. Since 2010, Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan and photographer Pierpaolo Ferrari have been publishing the eponymous magazine which consists entirely of staged photographs. For the Schaubühne, they have put our ensemble centre stage, portraying each actor in a bespoke way. The backdrops and styling were realised by the Schaubühne’s production departments of set design, costumes, props and hair and makeup. You can find the pictures of the campaign in the season booklet of the Schaubühne (to be seen hier as PDF) and spread over the season as large billboards in the urban area of Berlin.

Renovation of Sanitary Facilities

We would like to inform you that, due to renovation work, the restrooms are currently located in temporary containers outside the Schaubühne. The way there is clearly signposted. The cloakroom remains in its usual location in the basement of the foyer. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
