Audio description
We regularly offer performances with audio description for blind and visually impaired visitors. The performances are marked in the schedule and also listed on this page.
The audio description begins one hour before the performance with a tactile tour in the auditorium and on the backstage. Here you will have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the stage and some characteristic costume pieces and props. Afterwards, you will be given an audio receiver in the hall, the use of which will be explained to you. Then an audio introduction to the play and production will begin.
If you wish to participate in the audio tour, please register with the evening staff one hour before the performance begins. If you are coming directly to the performance, please be there 20 minutes before it begins so that the evening staff can bring you into the auditorium and familiarize you with the audio receiving equipment. Please contact us with any questions or comments at 030.890020130 or kl@schaubuehne.de.
The Schaubühne Berlin is a partner of the »Berliner Spielplan Audiodeskription«, a pilot project of Förderband e.V. funded by the Lottostiftung Berlin.
