Cathlen Gawlich

A guest performer at the Schaubühne since 2004, a permanent member of the ensemble between 2010 and 2013. Born in Thuringia, she studied acting at the Academy of Film and Television »Konrad Wolf« Potsdam. From 1991 to 2001, she was a member of the Deutsches Theater ensemble in Berlin. She has had guest engagements including at the Hans Otto Theater Potsdam, the Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin and the Staatsoper Berlin and has worked with Thomas Langhoff, Anselm Weber, Jürgen Gosch and Alexander Lang, among others. She frequently works as a voice and dubbing artist, for example in »SpongeBob SquarePants« and »Two and a Half Men«. Her numerous appearances in films and on television include roles in »Nightshapes« (1999, directed by Andreas Dresen), »Emil and the Detectives« (2001, directed by Franziska Buch) and in the series »Die Sitte«.
