İlknur Bahadır

At the Schaubühne since 2019, initially as a guest performer, since the 2022/23 season as a permanent member of the ensemble. Born in İzmir in Türkiye, grew up in Bavaria. Studied psychology in Frankfurt/Main followed by acting at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich. Engagements at the Schillertheater NRW, Theater Basel, Schauspiel Hannover, Schauspiel Köln and the Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin. Also directed her own work including the short films »Sugar« and »Frau Harp mag Fleisch« and the play »Wer bist du und warum?« at the Theater Neumarkt in Zurich. Works as a visual artist, guest lecturer (including at Zurich University of the Arts) and voice artist. Performance projects include »İlknur sucht Eltern« (Kunstmuseum Basel), »Dick+Draw« and »İlknurs Leckerei« (Theater Neumarkt, Thalia Theater).
