Isabelle Redfern

Member of the Schaubühne ensemble from 2019 to 2022, a guest performer since the 2022/23 season. Born in Munich, she studied acting and music at the Hanover University of Music and at the Berlin University of the Arts. She has had engagements including at the Burgtheater in Vienna, Münchner Kammerspiele, the Thalia Theater and Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg, the Staatstheater in Hanover and the Residenztheater in Munich. She has worked with Robert Wilson and Lou Reed, among others, and was invited to the 2018 Theatertreffen in Berlin with »Mittelreich« (directed by Anta Helena Recke). She has also worked in film, television and audiobooks and has directed productions including at the Staatstheater Darmstadt, Deutsches Theater Göttingen and Volksbühne Berlin. She is a member of the MamaNoSing! and Glossy Pain collectives.
