Karolien de Schepper, Christophe Engels (Ruimtevaarders)

Set designing duo Karolien de Schepper and Christophe Engels form the Ruimtevaarders collective. De Schepper studied architecture. Engels is a 3D/multimedia design artist. Since 2008, collaborations with numerous Belgian and international theatre directors including Milo Rau at NTGent, Julie Van Den Berghe at the Münchner Kammerspiele and the Frascati/Toneelgroep in Amsterdam. Collaborations with Anne-Cécile Vandalem and her Das Fräulein company on »After the Walls (utopia)« in 2013, »Still too sad to tell you« and »Tristesses« in 2016 and »Arctique« in 2018 (»Arctique« and »Tristesses« both invited to the Festival d’Avignon). In addition, creation of spaces for installations and exhibitions including the Theaterformen festival in Hanover, STORMOPKOMST in Turnhout, Antwerpen Open in Antwerp and for the Kunstenfestival in Brussels.
