Marie Burchard

Born in Bonn in 1982, grew up close to Paris. Has been a member of the Schaubühne ensemble from 2015 to 2019. Studied acting at the »Ernst Busch« Academy of Dramatic Art Berlin. From 2008 to 2010 she was engaged at the Nationaltheater Weimar, where she worked with director Andrea Breth and appeared in roles such as Dunja in »Crime and Punishment« by Fjodor Dostojewskij (Salzburger Festspiele, 2008), Eve in »The Broken Jug« by Heinrich von Kleist (Ruhrtriennale, 2009), Hermia in »A Midsummer Night’s Dream« by William Shakespeare at the Schauspiel Frankfurt (Direction: Markus Bothe, 2011) as well as in »Marija« by Isaak Babel (Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, 2012). She also worked on several films and cinema productions including »The Last Lie« (Direction: Jonas Grosch, 2011) and »The Book Thief« (Direction: Brian Percival, 2013).
