Moritz Gottwald
Born in Halle in 1988. Has been a member of the Schaubühne ensemble since the 2011/12 season. Studied acting at the »Ernst Busch« Academy of Dramatic Art Berlin. First engagements at the Neues Theater Halle in »An der Saale hell gestrandet. Ein Heimatstück« (Direction: Melanie Peter and Yves Hinrichs, 2007) and »Exit« (Direction: Yves Hinrichs, invited to the Jugendtheatertreffen in Krefeld, 2008). Further engagements at Deutsches Theater Berlin for »hamlet ist tot. keine schwerkraft« by Ewald Palmetshofer (Direction: Alexander Riemenschneider, 2010) and in »Parasites« by Marius von Mayenburg (Direction: Philipp Baumgarten, 2011). Awarded the Daphne-Preis 2016 for outstanding acting performance by TheaterGemeinde Berlin.
