Philip Dechamps

A guest performer at the Schaubühne since 2019. Born in Munich, he studied acting at the Academy of Performing Arts Baden-Württemberg. From 2014 to 2019, he was an ensemble member at the Residenztheater in Munich where he worked with Marius von Mayenburg, Michael Thalheimer, Mateja Koležnik and Ivica Buljan, among others. His various appearances in film and television productions include roles in »Die Donau ist tief. Ein Krimi aus Passau« (2020, directed by Maurice Hübner), »One Step Too Many« (2020, directed by Katharina Bischof) and in the series »Damaged Goods« (2022, directed by Anna-Katharina Meier). He won the Günther Rühle Award at the Young Actors Week for his role in »Desirevolution« (2013, directed by Christiane Pohle), the Bavarian Award for the Advancement of the Arts in 2017 and the Award of the Friends of the Residenztheater in 2018.
