Tilman Strauß
Born in 1982. Has been a member of the Schaubühne ensemble from 2009/10 to the 2015/16 season. He attended the Akademie für darstellende Kunst in Ulm before he studied acting at the »Ernst Busch« Academy of Dramatic Art in Berlin. He has been working at different theatres in Ulm and Berlin. Engagements e. g. at the bat-Studiotheater in »4.48 Psychosis« by Sarah Kane (Direction: Pedro Martin Beja, 2009) and at the Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin in »Hamlet« by William Shakespeare (Direction: Tilmann Köhler, 2008). He appeared in numerous film and television productions e. g. in »DeAD« (Direction: Sven Halfar, 2011), »The Kings Surrender« (Direction: Philipp Leinemann, 2012) and in »Berlin« (Direction: Niki Müllerschön, 2014) as well as in television in »Tatort – Die Wiederkehr« (Direction: Florian Baxmeyer, 2015). In 2014 he was nominated Best Actor in »The Kings Surrender« for the Förderpreis Neues Deutsches Kino.
