Ursina Lardi

Member of the Schaubühne ensemble since 2012. Born in Graubünden, Switzerland. Studied acting at theHochschule für Schauspielkunst »Ernst Busch« Berlin. Before joining the Schaubühne, she performed at numerous theatres, including the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg and Berliner Ensemble. Outside the Schaubühne, she has appeared in Thorsten Lensing's productions for many years, most recently in David Foster Wallace's «Infinite Jest» (Berlin Theatertreffen 2019) and «Verrückt nach Trost» (Salzburger Festspiele 2022). In addition to her theatre work, Ursina Lardi acts in films and television and appeared in Michael Haneke's award-winning film »The White Ribbon« (Golden Palm at Cannes and Oscar nomination). In 2022, she premiered in Cannes with Lionel Baier's ‘La dérive des continents’ and most recently appeared in Axel Ranisch's opera film ‘Orphea in Love’ and in Daniel Hoesl's ‘Veni Vidi Vici’ in cinemas. Ursina Lardi has received numerous awards, including the Swiss Film Award for Best Actress in 2014, the Swiss Grand Prix Theatre Award in 2017 and the Hans Reinhart Ring, Switzerland's highest theatre award. In June 2025, she was honoured with the Silver Lion at the Venice Theatre Biennale.
