Alexander Zeldin

The writer and director of theatre and film projects has worked in Russia, South Korea and the Middle East, among other places. From 2011 to 2014, he was a lecturer at the East 15 Acting School at the University of Essex in the UK. He has been an assistant director for Peter Brook and Marie-Helene Estienne. In 2014, his play »Beyond Caring« premiered in London and went on to tour the UK and the US. In 2015, he became an associate director at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre. In 2016, his production »Love« premiered at the National Theatre in London; the play went on to tour Europe and was adapted into a film. In 2017, he became an artist-in-residence, later an associate director, at the National Theatre in London. 2019 saw the premiere of his production »Faith, Hope and Charity«. He has been an associate artist of the Odéon Théâtre de l’Europe since 2020. In 2021, he was visiting artist at the Wiener Festwochen. His accolades include the Arts Foundation Fellowship for Literature and the 2015 Quercus Trust Award
