Amalia Starikow

Born in Berlin. She studied history at the city’s Humboldt University followed by a bachelor’s degree in English and Russian language and literature at the University of Potsdam and a master’s degree in English Literatures, again at Humboldt University. From 2015 to 2017, she was a directing intern and assistant in Saint Petersburg, chiefly at the Maly Drama Theatre working with Lev Dodin. Since 2019, she has been an assistant director at the Schaubühne where she has worked with Thomas Ostermeier, Jan Bosse and Anne-Cécile Vandalem, among others.
