Anna Kurz

Born in Hamburg in 1990. Studied stage and costume design at the Toneelacademie Maastricht and at the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee. Own freelance works during her studies, among others at the Stadt Theater Het Laagland in Sittard, the Staatstheater Oldenburg, the ANSI Theater and the Opera Zuid in Maastricht. Since season 2014/15, regularly works as a costume assistant at the Schaubühne and the Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin, including productions by Thomas Ostermeier, Sebastian Baumgarten, Michael Thalheimer, Milo Rau, Yael Ronen and Herbert Fritsch. At the same time cooperation for stage and costume designs for short movies in Berlin and Paris, as well as for the production »PEMDAS« during the FIND (direction: Christoph Buchegger, 2017).

Since summer 2018 she is a freelance stage and costume designer. Her work could be seen among others »O. - Ophélie l'Anarchie« (direction: Emilia de Fries, 2018) in the Neue Liebe Berlin at the Admiralspalast as well as »SOMNIA – What do drams sound like?« (direction: Dan Tanson, 2019) at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg.
