Bettina Pommer

Born in Graz, Austria. Studied at the scenography and exhibition design department of the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design. Assistant set designer at the Münchner Kammerspiele. Since 2014, freelance set designer including at the Münchner Kammerspiele, the Thalia Theater Hamburg, Schauspiel Köln, Schauspielhaus Bochum, the Ruhrtriennale festival, Deutsches Theater Berlin, Staatstheater Stuttgart, the Residenztheater in Munich, Schauspiel Leipzig, NTGent and the Malmö Stadsteater. Collaborations with Katrin Plötner, Stefan Pucher, Martin Laberenz and Julie van den Berghe, among others. Accolades: Eva Bonacker Prize for »The German Lesson« (directed by Johan Simons) in 2015. Invitations to the 2016 Nederlands Theater Festival with »Dit zijn de Namen« (directed by Philipp Becker), the 2017 Theatertreffen in Berlin with »Der Schimmelreiter« (directed by Johan Simons) and Radikal Jung in 2018 with »Romeo and Juliet« (directed by Pınar Karabulut).
