Bettina Pommer

Born in Graz. Studied scenography and exhibition design at the Academy of Design Karlsruhe. Subsequently assistant stage designer at the Munich Kammerspiele. Since 2014 freelance stage designer in Germany and abroad, among others at the Munich Kammerspiele, the Thalia Theater Hamburg, Schauspiel Köln, Schauspielhaus Bochum, Ruhrtriennale, Deutsches Theater Berlin, Staatstheater Stuttgart, Residenztheater München, Schauspiel Leipzig, NTGent and Malmö Stadsteater. Collaboration with directors Johan Simons, Pınar Karabulut, Katrin Plötner, Stefan Pucher, Philipp Becker, Liliane Brakema, Martin Laberenz and Julie van den Berghe, among others.

Pommer received the Eva Bonacker Prize 2015 for the stage design of the production »The German Lesson« directed by Johan Simons at the Thalia Theater Hamburg. The production »Dit zijn de Namen« directed by Philipp Becker at the NTGent was invited to the Nederlands Theater Festival 2016, the production »The Rider on the White Horse« directed by Johan Simons to the Theatertreffen 2017. In 2018 invitation of the production »Romeo and Juliet« , directed by Pınar Karabulut, to the Radikal Jung festival for young directors.
