Carol Schuler

Born in Winterthur in 1987. Has been a member of the Schaubühne ensemble since the 2017/18 season. From 2006–09 she studied acting at the Europäisches Theaterinstitut Berlin. First engagements at the Schauspielhaus Zürich, where she performed in »Geri« by Martin Suter and Stephan Eicher (Direction: Stefan Bachmann, 2010) and »Schweizer Schönheit« by Dani Levy (Direction: Dani Levy, 2015). Collaboration with Herbert Fritsch in »Der schwarze Hecht« after Emil Sautter (2014), »Wer hat Angst vor Hugo Wolf?« (2016) and »Pfusch« by Herbert Fritsch (2016) at the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, as well as in »King Arthur« by Henry Purcell (2016) at the Opernhaus Zürich. Appearances in film and television productions such as »Nachtlärm« (Direction: Christoph Schaub, 2012), »Tatort – Schmutziger Donnerstag« (Direction: Dani Levy, 2012), »Blochin – Die Lebenden und die Toten« (Direction: Matthias Glasner, 2014), »Homeland« (Direction: Michael Offer and Lesli Linka Glatter, 2015), »Zweibettzimmer« (Direction: Isabel Kleefeld, 2016) and »Maria Mafiosi« (Direction: Jule Ronstedt, 2016). She was awarded the Schweizer Filmpreis for Best Actress in 2002. 2012 she was nominated for the Schweizer Fernsehfilmpreis for Best Supporting Actress.
