Caroline Guiela Nguyen

The writer and director for theatre, film and radio was born in Nice (France), studied sociology and Arts du Spectacle in Nice and later took up a training at the directing school of the TNS – Théâtre National de Strasbourg. In 2009, she founded Les Hommes Approximatifs, a theatre company whose work focuses on the life stories of its members as well as on characters and stories otherwise neglected by the theatre. Her production of »SAIGON« toured in more than a dozen countries including France, Sweden, China, Germany, Australia and Vietnam while »FRATERNITÉ«, the first of a three-part cycle of the same name, was invited to the Festival d’Avignon and FIND 2022. She has also collaborated with the director and playwright Joël Pommerat and the Compagnie Louis Brouillard as well as with Jean Ruimi at the Maison Centrale d’Arles prison. In January 2023, she was appointed director of the TNS.
