Felix Römer
Born in Vienna in 1960. Has been a member of the Schaubühne ensemble since 2002. Studied acting in Vienna before he worked at several theatres including Graz, Krefeld-Mönchengladbach, Saarbrücken and Kassel. Freelance productions at the FFT (»Forum Freies Theater«) in Düsseldorf. Guest actor at the Theater Dortmund, where he played the role of Christian in the world premiere of »Festen« after Thomas Vinterberg (Direction: Burkhard C. Kosminski). Worked with directors such as Dieter Giesing, Otto Schenk, Kai Braak, Augusto Boal, Markus Imhoof, Michael Wallner, Brigitte Landes, Markus Dietz, Gerhard Weber, Bruno Klimek, Christian Pade, Eberhard Köhler, Heinz Kreidl, Elias Perring, Michael Gruner and Philipp Preuss (»McFamily« at Theater KOSMOS, 2011). He premiered his own plays »Servus Mama« (Direction: Gerhard Weber, Theater Krefeld, 1990), »Bibione« (Direction: Eberhard Köhler, Staatstheater Saarbrücken, 1992), »Guglhupf« (Direction: Matthias Frank, Theater Dortmund, 2008) and »Im Herbst« (Direction: Stefan Suske, Effinger Theater Bern, 2009). Furthermore, he wrote numerous travel reports for the newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and texts for the Deutschlandsaga – Fanzine within Schaubühne’s theatre production »Deutschlandsaga« (»G’schichten aus dem Wiener Wirtshaus«, 2008).
