Hans-Jochen Wagner

Born in Tübingen in 1968. Studied acting at the Academy of Dramatic Arts »Ernst Busch« in Berlin. First engagement in 1997 at the Burgtheater in Vienna, where he worked with directors such as Hans Neuenfels (»Amphytrion« by Sophokles, 1997) and Johann Kressnik (»Wiener Blut« by Johann Strauss, 1999). Transition to Deutsches Theater Berlin in 1999, where he worked with Thomas Langhoff in various productions including »Jubilee« by George Tabori (2010) and »King Lear« by William Shakespeare (2001). Other engagements at Stadttheater Freiburg and Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin. From season 2006/07 until the season of 2008/09 he was a member of the ensemble at Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus and has been a regular guest there since 2009. Appearences in »Hedda Gabler« by Henrik Ibsen (Direction: Stephan Rottkamp, 2004) and »Dirty Hands« by Jean-Paul Sartre (Direction: Sebastian Baumgarten, 2006). First leading part in a film in »Sie haben Knut« by Stefan Krohmer in 2003. Numerous appearences in film and TV productions, for example in »Tatort – Blutgeld« (Direction: Martin Eigler, 2010) and »Tatort – Der tiefe Schlaf« (Direction: Alexander Adolph, 2012), in »Everyone Else« (Direction: Maren Ade , 2008), »Ende der Schonzeit« (Direction: Franziska Schlotterer, 2011), »Lore« (Direction: Cate Shortland, 2012) and »Die Neue« (Direction: Buket Alakus, 2015). Since 2013 he can be seen as investigator Hendrik Verhoeven in the series »Kommissarin Heller« and since 2017 as investigator Friedemann Berg in »Tatort« Schwarzwald.
