Heinrich Horwitz

Director, choreographer and actor. Heinrich works in the independent scene, in city and state theaters and in the new music scene, including Amazonen Mythos (Berlin 2021) and HAUS (Ruhrtriennale 2022), a music cycle by Sarah Nemtsov. In addition to directing and choreographing, Heinrich also works continuously as an actor in theatre, opera, film and television. Since 2022/23 Heinrich has been a lecturer in the directing department at the AdK in Ludwigsburg. Heinrich was awarded the Tabori Prize in 2023, also the Adolf Grimme Prize and the Dance and Theater Prize of the City of Stuttgart and the State of Baden-Württemberg. Heinrich Horwitz is co-signer of the #ActOut Manifesto alongside over 185 actors and an activist.
