Hubert Wild

Born in Karlsruhe. He studied violin, piano and singing in Aachen (Instructor: Rudolf Bautz) and Berlin (Instructor: Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau). His first engagements led him to the Theater Aachen, the Theater und Philharmonie Essen, the Theater Vorpommern and the Theater und Orchester Heidelberg. In 2009 he became a member of the ensemble at the Landestheater Salzburg. He worked at numerous theaters in Europe, at opera houses and concert halls, and sang at numerous renowned festivals. He won several awards for his vocal performances, amongst others: the Toti dal Monte in Treviso, Italy, he won the singing competition of the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg and he won the International Robert Schumann competition in Zwickau. Most recently, he starred in the opera productions "Anna Karenina" (Oper Bremen, Director: Armin Petras, 2014) and "Orfeo" (Ruhrtriennale/Berliner Festspiele, Director: Susanne Kennedy, 2015). Since his collaboration with Herbert Fritsch in the production "Banditen" (Opernhaus Bremen, 2012), Wild has continued to star in drama productions, such as: "Der schwarze Hecht" (Schauspielhaus Zürich, Director: Herbert Fritsch, 2014), "Pfusch" (Volksbühne, Director: Herbert Fritsch, 2016), "Eines langen Tages Reise in die Nacht" (Deutsches SchauSpielHaus Hamburg, Director: Karin Henkel, 2016) and "Wolken.Heim" (Schauspiel Leipzig, Director: Enrico Lübbe, 2017).
