Ilse Ritter

Member of the ensemble from 1973 to 1977, guest performer at the Schaubühne since 2014. Born near Rinteln, she studied acting at the Hanover University of Music and Drama. She has had engagements in Darmstadt, Wuppertal, Stuttgart, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Bochum, Vienna, Berlin and at the Salzburg Festival. Thomas Bernhard wrote the play »Ritter Dene Voss« for her as well as for Kirsten Dene and Gert Voss. She has worked with Peter Stein, Peter Zadek, Luc Bondy, Claus Peymann and Frank Castorf, among others. Her various appearances in film and television productions include roles in »Rückfahrt von Venedig « (1973, directed by Tom Toelle), »Bella Donna« (1983, directed by Peter Keglevic) and »Formentera« (2012, directed by Ann-Kristin Reyels). She was named Theater heute Actress of the Year in 1985 and 1994.
