Moritz Grewenig

Born 1985 in Trier. Studied theatre, film, and media studies at the University of Vienna. During his studies he worked as a cameraman and assistant director for serval TV and film productions. Since 2009 he works as an independent cameraman and video artist for theatre, film, commercials and television. He worked at numerous theatres such as Burgtheater Wien, Theater in der Josefstadt, Schauspielhaus Zürich, Deutsche Theater Berlin, Schauspiel Köln, Staatsschauspiel Dresden, Volkstheater München and Staatstheater Stuttgart. Video realisation for several productions such as »Krieg und Frieden« based on the novel by Leo Tolstoy (Direction: Matthias Hartmann, Burgtheater Wien, 2010) which won the Nestroy Theatre Award, »Die letzten Zeugen« by Doron Rabinovici and Matthias Hartmann (Direction: Matthias Hartmann, Burgtheater Wien, 2013) which was invited to the Theatertreffen Berlin 2014, »Perikles« by William Shakespeare (Direction: Stefan Bachmann, Schauspiel Köln, 2014), »Der Idiot« based on the novel by Fyodor Dostoevsky (Direction: Matthias Hartmann, Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf, 2016), as well as production and editing of the DVD »Mea Culpa« (Direction: Christoph Schlingensief, Burgtheater Wien, 2009) for edition Burgtheater. Cameraman for the film project »Black Mountain« (Direction: Like A Wild Beast's Fur, Bayreuther Festspiele 2016, in cooperation with Audi and LAWBF). Collaborations with director Lilja Rupprecht include »Lenz« by Georg Büchner (Deutsches Theater Berlin, 2012), »Hundeherz« based on the novel by Michail Bulgakow (Deutsches Theater Berlin, 2016), »Mary Page Marlowe« by Tracy Letts (Schauspiel Köln, 2017) and »Amerika« based on the novel by Franz Kafka (Schauspiel Stuttgart, 2018).
