Jan Bosse

Born in Stuttgart, he lives and works in Berlin. He studied theatre, German literature and language and art history at the University of Erlangen followed by directing at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin. From 2000 to 2005, he was in-house director at Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg and from 2006 to 2013 at the Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin. He has worked at the Schauspielhaus Zurich, Deutsches Theater Berlin, Thalia Theater Hamburg, the Burgtheater in Vienna, Schauspiel Köln, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Münchner Kammerspiele and the National Theatre in Oslo. He was invited to the Theatertreffen in Berlin with »The Sorrows of Young Werther« and »Much Ado About Nothing« in 2007, with »Hamlet« in 2008 and with »Die Welt im Rücken« in 2018.
