John Bock

Born in Gribbohm, he lives in Berlin. His art actions have appeared at documenta in Kassel, the Venice Biennale and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. In 2010, he was curator of the group exhibition »FischGrätenMelkStand« in the Temporäre Kunsthalle on Berlin’s Schlossplatz. In 2017, his solo exhibition »Im Moloch der Wesenspräsenz« at the Berlinische Galerie included a performance starring Lars Eidinger. In June 2019, John Bock’s project »Im AntliTZ des SchädelapparaTZ« at Neuer Berliner Kunstverein combined installation with cinematic and performative elements. In 2019, »John Bock. AuraAroma Ω-Beule« was exhibited at the Kunsthalle Mannheim and he also designed the Schaubühne’s »Im verbeulten Universum« season campaign. In 2022, his work featured in group exhibitions in Munich, Los Angeles and Naples as well as in the solo exhibition »John Bock. The Ex-Ego Assembles a Lump of Fume in the Everyman« in Split.
