Jovana Reisinger
Born in Munich in 1989 and raised in Austria. She is an author, filmmaker and visual artist. After graduating in communication design, she studied screenwriting and documentary film directing at the Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film München. She was awarded the Bayern 2-Wortspiele-Preis for her debut novel »Still halten« (2017) and her book »Spitzenreiterinnen« was nominated for Bayerischer Buchpreis 2021. Productions of the novel were staged at the Staatstheater Kassel and the Residenztheater München in 2023, with Reisinger also co-authoring the text for the latter production. Her short films have been shown in exhibitions and festivals, including at the Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen, the yi:project space Beijing and Kunsthalle Osnabrück. Jovana Reisinger has also been writing for the »Bleeding Love« column at VOGUE online since June 2020 and the »Single Kolumne« at FAZ since 2023. In 2022, her collection of essays »Enjoy Schatz« was published by Korbinian Verlag, in 2023 the volume »Menstruation" in the Reclam 100 Seiten series.
