Julia Schubert

Member of the Schaubühne ensemble since the 2020/21 season. Born in Leipzig in 1982. Studied acting at the Rostock University of Music and Theatre. In 2006, solo prize at the national competition for German-speaking acting students in Munich. Engagements at the Grips Theater Berlin, Theater Magdeburg and the Schauspiel Dortmund where she worked in particular with Kay Voges and Claudia Bauer as well as directing for the first time. Further collaborations with Kay Voges at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg and the Volksbühne Berlin. Various appearances in films and on television including in »Ivie wie Ivie« (2021, directed by Sarah Blaßkiewitz), »Nächste Ausfahrt Glück – Beste Freundinnen« (2021, directed by Francis Meletzky) and »Polizeiruf 110: Hexen brennen« (2022, directed by Ute Wieland).
