Lilja Rupprecht

Born 1984 in Hamburg. 2005-09 assistant director at Thalia Theater where she staged »Harold and Maude« by Colin Higgins (2009). From 2009 on she studied directing at the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch in Berlin. At Deutsches Theater Berlin she directed »Die Legende von Paul und Paula« based on the script by Ulrich Plenzdorf (2010), »Lenz« by Georg Büchner (2012), »Jules und Jim« based on the book by Henri-Pierre Roché (2013) and »Hundeherz« based on the novel by Michail Bulgakow (2016). Further productions followed, among others »Caligula« by Albert Camus (Volkstheater München, 2015), »Groß und Klein« by Botho Strauß (Schauspiel Köln, 2016), »Mary Page Marlowe« by Tracy Letts (Schauspiel Köln, 2017) and »Amerika« based on the novel by Franz Kafka (Schauspiel Stuttgart, 2018).
