Lily McLeish

Born in Sheffield, she studied English and art history at the University of Cologne. She has directed work in the UK and Germany including at the Young Vic, Park Theatre, The Place and the Finborough Theatre, all in London, as well as for the RSC Fringe Festival, the Glenside Hospital Museum in association with Alldaybreakfast in Bristol, at DanceEast in Ipswich and the Artheater and the Severins-Burg-Theater in Cologne. She has a longstanding collaboration with the director Katie Mitchell and they have worked on numerous joint productions including at The Shed in New York, the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord in Paris, the Royal Court Theatre in London and Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg. In 2017, Lily McLeish received the Origins Award for Outstanding New Work.
