Marcus Peter Tesch

Author and freelance dramaturge. Born 1989 in Deggendorf. As performer he worked with René Pollesch, 400asa, Vegard Vinge/Ida Müller at the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz. Studied Applied Theatre Studies in Giessen. During his studies he worked as intern and assistant at Schauspiel Frankfurt, the Schaubühne and Mousonturm Frankfurt. 2017 nomination for the Retzhofer Drama Prize. Assistant dramaturg at the Schaubühne from 2017 until 2020. His most recent texts have been shown in the STUDIO Я of the Maxim Gorki Theater, in the Box of the Deutsches Theater, at the Berlin African Book Festival, and as part of the Third Space of the Ruhrtriennale 2019. Since 2020 scholarship holder of the UniT writing course FORUM Text. 2021 nomination for the author competition of the Nibelungen Festival. 2021 Winner of the authors' competition of the Nibelung Festival Worms, invited to the Auftakt Festival Cologne, conception and direction of the Writers' Room at the Berlin Theatertreffen and development of the performance »Poetry of Failure II« at the Theater Rampe, Stuttgart.
