Mark Waschke

Born in Wattenscheid in 1972. Studied Acting at the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst »Ernst Busch« Berlin. 1999–2008 and again since 2013/14 company member at the Schaubühne Berlin. Appearances at the Deutsches Theater in »Kasimir und Karoline« by Ödön von Horváth (2006, director: Andreas Dresen) and at the Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin in »Leonce und Lena« by Georg Büchner (2009, director: Jan Bosse). Numerous film roles, including »Buddenbrooks« (2008, director: Heinrich Breloer), »Unter dir die Stadt« (2010, director: Christoph Hochhäusler), »Fenster zum Sommer« (2011, director: Hendrik Handloegten), »Barbara« (2011, director: Christian Petzold), »Was uns nicht umbringt« (2016, director: Sandra Nettelbeck) and »Refuge« (2016, director: Eran Riklis). Numerous television films, among others in »Unsere Mütter, unsere Väter« (2013), »Dark« (2017). Since 2015 he can be seen as the investigator Robert Karow in the Berlin »Tatort«. Various awards, including the prize for best leading actor at the Roma Fiction Festival in 2009 and the Bavarian Film Prize, the Franz Hofer Prize in 2012 and the German Actors' Prize in 2013.
