Michael Gööck

Born in Regensburg in 1959. From 1875 on, working as a freelance photographer for different newspapers and journals, 1982-85 photo editor in Tübingen, since 1989 working as cameraman and light designer in e. g. »Echoes of a Genius: Miles Davis in Europe« (direction: Ulli Pfau, 1992), »Missing Allen - The Man Who Became A Camera« (direction: Christian Bauer, 2000) and »A Trip To Brazil«, (direction: Thorsten Schütte, 2000/01). In 2001/02, he visits the master schools for event engeneering and lighting in Hamburg and Munich. Light designer and master of lighting at Schaubühne from 2002 to 2006, then also as light designer and head of lighting department at Schauspiel Hannover, Staatsschauspiel Dresden and Schauspiel Köln among others. In 2004, light designer in »Baumeister Solness« (direction: Thomas Ostermeier) at Akademiethater Wien. Besides his work for film and theatre, he also has a teaching assignment for light design and camera at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, HFF München, Escuela Internacional de Cine y Television Cuba as well as Al-Jazeera-Academie Doha among others.
