Moritz Junge

Born in Stuttgart in 1975. After training as a tailor, he studied at the Berlin University of the Arts and set and costume design at London's Slade School of Fine Art. He made his debut in 2004 as set and costume designer for the world premiere of Tom Adès' The Tempest at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden. Since then he has worked for opera, drama, ballet and commercial projects worldwide. He has designed costumes for the Vienna and Munich State Operas, the Metropolitan Opera, Chicago Lyric Opera, San Francisco Opera, Sydney Opera House, Teatro alla Scala, Bolshoi Theatre, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Royal Ballet, Royal Danish Ballet, New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Australian Ballet, Mariinski Ballet, Joffrey Ballet and the Alvin Ailey Ballet. In 2011 he designed the costumes for the anniversary tour of Circus Roncalli and for »Wicked – the Musical« for Stage Entertainment Hamburg and in 2012 for the opening of the Paralympics in London.
