Nina Kunzendorf

Born in Mannheim in 1971. Company member at the Schaubühne from 2017/18 to 2018/19. Studied Acting at the Hochschule für Darstellende Kunst in Hamburg. After her studies she was a member of the company at the Nationaltheater Mannheim. Roles in numerous productions, including »Ritter, Dene, Voss« by Thomas Bernhard (director: Barbara Frey, 1996) and »Antigone« by Sophokles (director: Jasmin Hoch, 1996). 1998-2000 company member at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg, in productions such as »Jeff Koons« by Rainald Goetz (director: Stephan Bachmann, 1997) and »Schlachten! « by Tom Lanoye and Luk Perceval (director: Luk Perceval, 1998). Subsequently a permanent member of the company until 2004 at the Münchner Kammerspiele. Roles in numerous productions, among others in »Orestie« by Aischylos (directed by Andreas Kriegenburg, 2001), »Alkestis« by Euripides (directed by Jossi Wieler, 2001), »Mittagswende« by Paul Claudel (directed by Jossi Wieler, 2003), »Anatomie Titus Fall of Rome« by Heiner Müller (directed by Johan Simons, 2001): Johan Simons, 2003) and in cooperation with the Salzburg Festival 2009 »Das letzte Band / Bis dass der Tag euch scheidet oder Eine Frage des Lichts« by Samuel Beckett and Peter Handke (Director: Jossi Wieler, 2009). Numerous film and television roles, including in »Maria's Last Journey« (directed by Rainer Kaufmann, 2005), »In aller Stille« (directed by Rainer Kaufmann, 2010), »Liebesjahre« (directed by Matti Geschonnek, 2010), »Phoenix« (directed by Christian Petzold, 2014) and »Nacht der Angst« (directed by Gabriela Zerhau, 2015). 2010-12 police investigator in the »Tatort« Frankfurt. She has received numerous awards, including the Bavarian Television Prize (2005 and 2016), the Grimme Prize (2006, 2011 and 2012), the German Television Prize (2011), the Golden Camera (2012) and the German Film Prize (2015).
