Paul Anderson

Studied at the Mountview Theatre School and at York College of Arts and Technology. He designed the lighting concept for several British and international productions e. g. at the National Theatre, the English National Opera, the Young Vic Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company, the West End as well as on Broadway. He has been cooperating with Complicitè since 1984, among others in »A Dog´s Heart« by Michail Bulgakow (Direction: Simon McBurney, 2010), »The Master and Margarita« by Michail Bulgakow (Direction: Simon McBurney, 2011), »A Disappearing Number« by Simon McBurney (Direction: Simon McBurney, 2007) and »Shun-Kin« (Direction: Simon McBurney, 2008). He was awarded the Olivier Award for Best Lighting Designer for »The Master and Margarita« (2012) and received the Drama Desk Award as well as the Lucille Lortell Award for »Mnemonic« (1999).
