Peter Moltzen

Born in Leipzig in 1970. Has been a member of the Schaubühne ensemble from 2015 to 2017. Studied acting from 1992 to 1996 at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater »Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy« Leipzig. Engagements, among others, at the Schauspielhaus Chemnitz, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Thalia Theater Hamburg and the Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin. During his engagement at the Deutsches Theater Berlin from 2009 to 2015 he worked in productions such as »Rose – oder Liebe ist nicht genug« by Armin Petras (Direction: Armin Petras, 2009), »Heart of Darkness« by Josef Conrad (Direction: Andreas Kriegenburg, 2009), »Tales from the Vienna Woods« by Ödön von Horvath (Direction: Michael Thalheimer, 2013) and »The Lion in Winter« by James Goldman (Direction: Sebastian Hartmann, 2014).
He appeared in various TV and film productions such as »Die Schimmelreiter« (Direction: Lars Jessen, 2008), »Berlin Calling« (Direction: Hannes Stöhr, 2008), »Tatort – Leben gegen Leben« (Direction: Niels Willbrandt, 2010), »Operation Zucker« (Direction: Rainer Kaufmann, 2012) and »Die siebte Stunde« (Direction: Carlo Rola, 2015).
Furthermore he appeared in numerous opera productions such as in »Katja Kabanova« (Direction: Armin Petras, Oper Basel, 2012), in »Die Zarenbraut« by Nikolai Rimski-Korsakow (Direction: Dmitri Tcherniakov, Staatsoper Berlin, 2013) as well as in »Der Freischütz« by Carl Maria Weber (Direction: Michael Thalheimer) and in »Die Entführung aus dem Serail« (Direction: Michael Thalheimer, Staatsoper Berlin, 2015).
