Sarah Kohm

Born in Berlin, she took a bachelor’s degree in journalism and communication sciences and then studied musical theatre directing at the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre. During her studies, she put on productions at the Sprechwerk Hamburg and the Opera Stabile of the Hamburg State Opera. In 2015, she designed the musical theatre promenade production »Germania – Eine Geisteraustreibung« at the Academy of Arts with students from the University of the Arts and the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin. She has worked as an assistant and intern at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg and Komische Oper Berlin. From 2016 to 2019, she was an assistant director at the Schaubühne where she worked with Milo Rau, Herbert Fritsch, Marius von Mayenburg and Thomas Ostermeier, among others. In 2019, she also undertook the artistic production management at the Schaubühne. She has a scholarship from the Akademie Musiktheater heute of the Deutsche Bank Foundation.
