Thomas Witte
Born in Peine in 1968. Studied at the State University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart with Pierre Favre. Engagements as theatre musician at Deutsches Theater Berlin, Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Schaubühne Berlin, Burgtheater Wien, Schauspielhaus Zürich and with the company DorkyPark. Collaboration with Thomas Ostermeier in »Disco Pigs« (Schauspielhaus Hamburg, 1998), »Der blaue Vogel« (Deutsches Theater Berlin, 1999) and currently in »Vernon Subutex 1« at the Schaubühne Berlin. 2013 stage music for Marius von Mayenburg's production of »Much Ado About Nothing« at the Schaubühne. Tours and studio work with Patrick Bebelaar, Shannon Callahan, Ben Hamilton, Diane Weigmann, Gayle Tufts, Aziza A., Die Grundguten, Diamond, Jessica Gall, Josefine und das Meer, Oren Lavie, Poems for Laila and others. Tours throughout Europe, USA, Russia and Asia
