Yuebo Sun

The Chinese erhu soloist Yuebo Sun has performed with leading orchestras in China. She studied at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music with Professor Chunyuan Chen, one of China’s most renowned erhu performers and educators, and now performs internationally.

Since 2006, she has pursued her musical career and worked with prestigious ensembles including the Shanghai Opera House, the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, the Guiyang Symphony Orchestra, the Qingdao Symphony Orchestra, and the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra. She has also traveled regularly throughout Europe and Asia to foster international cultural exchange.

For her, intercultural exchange is a core part of her artistic work. It also serves as a key to deepening global understanding of the erhu’s distinctive virtuosity.
