Authoritarian tendencies and massive climate change are threatening the very foundations of our society. But in the interstices of catastrophic developments resistance is stirring. Activists are fighting against the destruction of life — destruction caused by domestic violence, border regimes, predatory exploitation or rising sea levels. The new protests seem to start at different points, but the philosopher Eva von Redecker sees a common logic in them. We are experiencing the beginnings of a revolution that could overthrow the destructive capitalist order and promises a new form for our basic activities: we could be caring instead of dominating, regenerating instead of exploiting, participating instead of profiting.
