Offences are like an illness that nevertheless provides a psychological gain. Nothing is allowed to get better or more bearable, because otherwise one would have to face oneself. Someone must be to blame for the fact that I am not getting my due. In antisemitism, this scapegoating logic becomes radicalized: Jewish people become a projection screen for social contradictions and personal grievances. It is urgently necessary to discuss how this structure operates in different political contexts today.
