Lucy McCormick is the epitome of a triple threat: she can sing, dance and act. Together with her Girl Squad, Lucy presents »Triple Threat«: A trash-step/dub-punk morality play for the modern world. Casting herself in all the main roles, McCormick will attempt to re-connect to her own moral conscience by re-enacting the New Testament — the stories of the Immaculate Conception, the betrayal by Judas and the crucifixion — using her very own stock of personal references via a Nu-wave holy trinity of complex dance routines, passionately performed power ballads, and performance art. Lucy will give everything she has to offer in terms of blaring volume, blistering talent and unending creativity. Directed by cabaret legend Ursula Martinez, McCormick puts her best foot forward in the face of existential deadlock.
Lucy McCormick (*1986) is an actor, writer and performer who has acted and performed at venues including the Southwark Playhouse, Soho Theatre, the Gate Theatre and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Her work as an actor also includes a role in the film »Fast and Furious: Hobbs and Shaw«.
Ursula Martinez (*1966) is a British theatre maker, performer and director. She is a long time associate artist with Duckie, a post gay performance collective. »Triple Threat« was her first collaboration with Lucy McCormick, which was followed by the direction of »Post Popular« in 2019.
