DEMOCRACY IN CRAZY TIMES
As part of our TUSCH cooperation with the Lina Morgenstern School 2020, pupils of the bilingual elective course »Politics« in the 9th grade dealt with »Democracy«. Through creative writing, they thought about what democracy actually has to do with their lives. The changes in their lives due to the pandemic also played a major role. They presented selected texts from their work in a digital reading.

Thomas Mann Gymnasium
Since the theatre season 2011/12 we cooperate with the Thomas Mann Gymnasium in the Märkisches Viertel. This cooperation originated from the program »Kulturagenten für Kreative Schulen« and has now become independent. In each school year, all German courses of the 11th year come to workshops and performances, so that all students have seen at least one staging of our theater in the course of their schooling and have engaged with it practically as well as more intensively in advance.
If you would like to enter into a more intensive and lasting exchange with the Schaubühne with your school or institution, we will gladly develop formats of cooperation together with you.
TUSCH – Theater und Schule
The Schaubühne is a partner theater of TUSCH Berlin, a partnership project between Berlin theaters and schools, initiated by JugendKulturService GmbH and the Senate Department for Education.
As part of TUSCH, a close cooperation has been established between the Schaubühne and Askanisches Gymnasium in Tempelhof. In addition to attending performances and various workshops, the pupils of the Askanisches Gymnasium will also be able to experience the Schaubühne as a place for a wide variety of professional groups. In addition, the medium of theater is to be made experienceable as an extracurricular educational venue in which the students learn to critically examine various social and political topics.
